suspension problems
Hi Ive recently bought a second hand Discovery TDV6 2005 ( dont laugh) i was getting an Orange warning light on the suspensionso went to a garage. They fitted a new pump ,but now i have a red warning light. The mechanic said i needed a new Ride height control module. He has now closed the garage for a month and gone on holiday! leaving me with this problem.I want to look up the price of this part so can anyone tell me the part number or the best place to look for one,i live in Spain
We would love to help we do it every day here on this forum), but we do need some more information. By chance did you mechanic give you the ODB diagnostic codes that lead him to replacing the compressor?
Please don't feel offended, but diagnosing these things is hard enough, even harder through the internet. The diagnostic codes tell us a lot about what is going on with your car, even if the code does not seem directly related to your immediate problem, it may be.
Again, would love to help, but we need the codes.

Get onto the disco3 UK forum as there will most likely be some one that can read the codes for you,
Red fault is almost always a hard fault. Meaning a bad really, fuse, disconnected component, etc. I very much doubt its the module, possible but doubtful. I would swap relays and check fuses. I would also remove the lower acoustic cover of the compressor and make sure a connector for the compressor did not pop apart. Maybe it was simply not connected well. There are two, one is two large wires for power the other is a six wire connector for all the other compressor stuff. Then I would examine the height sensors, make sure they are attached properly, etc.
If they replaced your probably original Hitachi brand compressor with an updated AMK the vehicle will need a software update for the AMK compressor to work. I would also try to get your original compressor back and rebuild it and keep it as a spare if it hasn't gone to the landfill yet. Lots of DIY instructions on how to do this. If you verify that they did put the new style compressor in you might just want to go to another shop or the dealer and have the software update performed to see if that gets rid of the warning and makes the compressor work.
