Default Transmission cooler pipes... any tips?

I am having trouble removing the old transmission cooler lines on my 2005 LR3 V8 (badly rusted and leaky). It looks like I may have to disconnect the drive shaft, lower the front differential, or raise the tranny a few inches. I have been unable to locate a good write up and this is not in the repair manual. Anyone with experience have a good method?

I’ve dove it once.

Im pretty sure I unbolted the front driveshaft, but didn’t remove it.

Thanks Abran... I unbolted the front driveshaft at the differential, but it won't budge. Soaking it in PBlaster and hammering.

I did manage to get the old ones out by rotating them (quite fiddly) so the tranny ends were pointed down. Disconnecting the breather tube from the diff helped. Not sure I can get the new ones in that way though! I'll try tonight. Maybe I should disconnect the shaft at the transfer case too? (PIA!)

Yes, unbolt at both ends.

I give the flange on the diff/t case a few love taps on the side with a brass hammer, turning it a little every tap. Good luck.

Again thanks Abran. The drive shaft was just plain stuck, and I feared loosing the end cap and bearings if I worked it too hard. Surprisingly, I managed to replace the pipes without removing the driveshaft or exhaust, or dropping the tranny or diff. It took a LOT of patience and problem solving luck, but it was worth it. Blowing air thru the pipes confirmed several pinholes. Putting 'er back together this weekend and working on a write up. I'll mention your driveshaft tip, sure would have made it easier!

if you have tips on how you did this, would greatly appreciate it. About to tackle this job and not removing the tranny and diff sounds great.
