Exclamation Transmission Fault!!!

HELP!!! 2007 LR3 Went to start her this morning, turns over fine but won't go into gear, any gear; warning light says; "Transmission fault, limited gears only" But it drove home fine last night... Had some work done on it yesterday, the break switch was changed out, could that be the issue? It was working fine, but as I say, this morning, no gears!!!!

Any thoughts please on things to check. TY

Did you shut it down and restart it? If a restart does not work try turning the headlights on manually before starting.

Yes, i've done that, lights on, lights off restarted, no change. However, I did notice that the Air suss compressor just went on, i'm wondering if the battery is going bad? Even though it turns over, I know the battery needs to be A1 right? Had the alternator checked last week and was told it's fine, so, battery? Thanks for your time

....could it be that RF Capacitor that bolts onto the tranny?

^ Damn, always forget about that evil thing (something I need to order for myself). The nice thing is on the LR3 is unplugging it causes things to work fine again. On the LR4, not so much.
