Default Transponder issue?

Hi All,

My 2007 doesn't respond consistently to lock/unlock commands from my key FOB (multiple FOBs). Also, while trying to program the Homelink to my garage door opener, it simply wouldn't sync up. I think these two symptoms are related, and I recall a similar scenario described on one of the forums in the past. I did a search here but it came up empty.

Anyone experience this?

Thanks,
Houm

The homelink may not be related. I have never been able to get anh of the LR3's I've owned or a friends 2008 FFRR to work with Homelink, but the wifely ones 2019 DS works fine.

I agree, I do not think the two are related. My 2007 LR3 and the wife's 2013 LR4 will sync to our 20+ year old Genie, but neither will sync to my daughter's 3 year old house with a lift master.

1. They are unrelated.
2. The Homelink requires a converter device to convert the old signal from the Land Rover to the new signal needed by the garage door opener
LIKE THIS LIKE THIS
2. You could have had 2 FOB batteries get low at the same time. Especially if they are the cheap non-rechargeable type bought on line. IF you are sure that the FOB's are good, then the receiver module may be going out. For the location see item 3 on the attached page from the service manual.

Hope this helps
Jeff

Jeff,
Where do you mount those? On the Liftmaster Garage door opener? So it makes the Newer Liftmaster compatible with the older HomeLinks in the older Rovers?

You mount it in a place that it can receive the signal from the car and send a signal to the garage door opener. Seem like next to the opener is a reasonable place.
