Default V6 thermostat

I have a 2006 with the 4.0 V6 (I bought it for the wheels, snow tires and a few other hard to find parts (like the 5 seat cargo floor), but do need it to run so I can relocate it to Missouri.

I drove it for over 2 hours to get it home with no issues, but trying to get the heat to work, it over heated while idling in my driveway. Is there a way to buy just the plastic piece that has the thermostat? or do I have to get the $350 worth of hoses comes attached to it? Seems to me that there should be a ford V6 part that I can just connect to all the hoses.

If not, This will be the shortest time I will have owned a Land Rover.

You can definitely get just that component for the V8; I'm not sure about the V6. I'm sure someone will inform us shortly.

I think this will work. It looks identical but it's for the td 2.7 V6 . I ordered it and I will update when I'm done installing it. It says it's a 180° thermostat.
