Double check the cap, make sure it is 16psi. Some sellers think LR4 tanks and caps are the same, they are not. MUCH higher operating pressure. Really only an issue if the engine starts to overheat tho.

I thought it might be a good idea to install my full size spare in the usual spot and found that the more I tried using the spare tire winch the worse it got until finally it just gave out and I resorted to cuttingthe damn cable. Now I'm thinking I might set up a inside spare holder similar to my Scout II, which made way too much sense.

Took it to High Rock point and the Keweenaw rocket launch site at the end of the Keweenaw peninsula in the UP. I will confess to some intial nervousness about the trip seeing as how we put 1,000+ miles on what we consider to be a untersted LR3 with 191.000 miles on it. It was brilliant.

High Rock is a great spot to check out! At least this time of year.... If you enjoy loud music, ATVs, beer cans, garbage, annoying people and minivans - go back in season! LOL But at least there are restrooms now, so that cuts back on the TP flowers in the woods. If you want a much more quiet and slightly lesser know spot, you really need to check out Keystone Bay. Its not far from there and with only two camp spots (and a third hike in) it generally is only busy during the day with visitors. The trail in is a bit interesting too... challenging for those with little experience or large rigs. So that keeps people out too. But it is a stunning beach location!

Oh, and people tell you that you don't need a dedicated GPS because you can navigate using your phone.
Yeah, that doesn't work most places in do yoop. We found our paper GPS was essential for navigation, since our navigation isn't working on the Ginsu.

That's why i prefer offline GPS apps on my phone and head unit and always keep paper maps in the glovebox.

Installed a new AC condenser. I wanted to go through the front end like LR Time did but I found that my 40mmm Torx socket had been destroyed by use in an impact (not by me). And one bolt thus got rounded. So I had to go plan B. With a 4.4 V8 was not bad at all, the radiator did not even come out and only a quart, at most, of coolant lost. I will have a write-up soon. I actually did this not because I thought it was leaking, but because I wanted to install a new dryer and with my winch this was actually the easier method! Also because I am a deal *****, I got two new condensers for just $6.00 USD each so figured I may as well use one.

This is my first entry. I picked up a 2008 LR3 G4 edition that needed some profound love and parts. I have been busy the past two months.

Every suspension item was replaced- 8 control arms, wheel bearings, rear hubs, drop links, tierods, new spindle rods, sway bushings, etc
Coolant overhaul- radiator, expansion tank, hoses, including the little mother under the intake manifold, pump, thermostat
MAF, PVC, filters, oil service on all items, belts, rollers
Brake job- new hard rear lines due to them being rotten, soft brake lines, pads, rotors, and new calipers in the front- still a spongy pedal, need to probably do an ABS pump bleed
New Toyo rubber
Replaced rear driveshaft
Replaced broken rear wiper motor, new LED lamps in fogs and highbeams, fixed and resealed the factory brush bar lamps
Added Apple Carplay, updated all firmware via GAP IID, fixed various faults, still can't get the sunroof open

Next, refresh the Warn winch bushings, paint a section of the missing paint on the roof, and remove the faded Nevada G4 challenge sticker from the hood.
