I removed my navigation DVD unit to try to revive it, figured I could clean the lens and lube the lens posistioner and maybe get it working again, no dice. Can't even get the DVD out. Guess I'm replacing it or doing without the navigation.
Did an oil and filter change. Also added a Fumoto F106N oil drain valve, as suggested by
DakotaTraveler.
Spray cleaned the MAF sensor and also the intake. New air filter and cabin air filter.
But with aftermarket skid plates accessibility may still be an issue.

I have a stupidly large aftermarket skit plate. I hate removing it. So I put a hose on my drain then coiled it up and cable tied it at the frame. So to do an oil change I turn the steering full left and can reach in and cut eh tie and direct the hose. And there is enough room to reach in, remove the safety clip on the drain lever and open it up. I do changes when the engine is hot, so the hot oil helps soften the hose and open up any kinks. Its a clear hose. I may go with a softer rubber hose that does not kink so bad though. Then for the filter I just use an oil filter wrench (linked below) with an extension. The issue is that it dumps oil all over but it works. Future plan is to pick up some thin black plastic stock from Amazon and use a heat gun to mold a tray in a way that the oil can be directed into a catch. Maybe even make it so it will always be mounted there.
Replaced one of the 12V sockets with a holder for the 2 x USB plugs from my head unit that were just dangling below the climate control panel, a 3d printed design i found on thingiverse.
Replaced the dull front parking light globes with LEDs, the old yellow light really aged the disco.
I went on a fuse resetting jag trying to see if I could reset my malfunctioning navigation DVD. No joy there but I did find that there is a fuse for the parking assist and pulling it has no effect except to hush that shreiking every time I put it into reverse despite me telling the CCF to ignore that feature. Soon I'll be heading out to the garage to install that backup camera so I don't need that sound, or to replace the cloudy parking sensors.
I seem to recall reading somewhere in the LR forums that there is a Ford trailer wire hookup connector that is compatible with the LR3, I'm going to keep searching but if anyone recalls or has used it I'll be much obliged.
Been having the low coolant message on the dash so in October last year i bought a new bottle and cap, was only the sensor so put it off until now to replace them.
Bought the right pliers for the spring clamps which makes a difference.
