Took the LR3 to my friends garage today and had the codes read. Lots of body control/communication errors, but only one P code (0484) and a couple of U codes. For the most part those that are genuine I know about - tire pressure monitor, faulty parking sensor etc., the rest are possible form when I got he truck and the battery lead was loose and threw up a bunch of weird faults. Quite happy overall though.

Whats wrong with the Defender where it needs a tow truck?

Probably nothing but it sure is nice knowing if you blow something apart you still have a way home. Oh and Defender's aren't the most comfortable long haul highway cruiser.

Installed a raised air intake. It pained me to drill the holes in the body but it had to be done and the fender has a small dent anyways lol

I did as well even took the extra step of putting everything in place and used 3m double sided trim tape to hold it all in place while I marked everything.

Then I drug my daughter out to make sure it looked right to her... Then sent a couple pics to a friend. Checked that door cleared also the hood. Once everyone said it was good I stared at it again for 20 min then did the deed.

Mine came with instructions for a D4 so i called the manufacturer just to be sure and also called a friend that had fitted the same one. Had to cut some of the inner guard bracing behind the intake grill and behind the air box for the replacement sealed intake pipe.
