So the new Warn winch controller showed up and it improved my situation a bit. Now at least the solenoids click before it doesn’t work lol.

Trouble shooting further tomorrow. I have 4 spare solenoids though so I’ll figure it out. Can’t wait for next Friday when I pick up my new roof rack!

So figured out the internal contact for the “A” Terminal has separated from the lug. Going to see if a local electric motor place can rebuild it or if I just need to order the motor

Stopped to look at a 1 owner clean 09 LR3 HSE with the LUX Package for 9500.00 with 153K on it. I thought I'd surprise my wife with a better color for TX vs the Tonga Green/Black interior my 06 LR3 HSE has. When they came back with the trade in offer for my 06 I had to laugh though.... $3200.00 for mine with less miles, better brakes, and M/T's. I kindly told them the white exterior paint/tan interior is not worth 6300.00 + TT&L. There was absolutely nothing they could say that their vehicle had better than mine lol.

I also spotted this very unique looking 08 LR3 SE, and it has to be some sort of special edition. I've never seen one like this. It's almost making me think it's like a Westminster Edition, but it has no special badges on it.

2008 LR3 SE

^ That LR has a body kit. I would love to get the kits, but they are $$. When the kits first came out, a few sites suspected it was a pre-production face-lift/proto/etc.

It’s a cool body kit if you are sticking to the street I dig it.

Yeah I thought it was different and looked sharp. Off road yep those F/R silver add on's would die very quickly! Honestly my wife uses the LR3 for a D/D right now. I planned ahead and made sure I bought one with the HD Package, but unless I fall and hit my head the D2's will be my hardcore setup off road LR's and the LR3 will remain stock until the Mrs tells me she is tired of the LR3 lol. I have an OEM LR3 G4 roof rack sitting in my shop, but it's off of the LR3 for better MPG and my wife parks in a parking garage so I didn't want any height issues.

Got the parts I needed to fix the winch so back off came the bumper once I bench tested the winch. Got it all back together and the skid plate back on ready for Rovers at Wintergreen leaving tomorrow after work.

Smelled something not-so-sweet:

Wet coolant tank bad sign

Literally sprang a leak

Replacing the coolant tank is 100X easier with the headlight out. Even with A-Frame and headlight guards its worth the extra step.

Watch the AB/RoverParts How-to video and its a breeze! Less than 1 hour including the celebratory beverage.
