Default 2012 disco 4

Wife daily drives an lr4 with about 90k miles. Check engine light came on the other day. Came up with bank 2 front knock sensor code. I cleared code and it didn't return for half a day or so. All seemed to be running fine and we made an appointment at garage. She drove this morning to store began a little rough running at times. New code of p0118 sounds like a jet engine as cooling fan seems to be on full high. Didn't over heat at all. Any insight? I don't wanna throw parts at it but would like to be able to be as informed as possible.

Did you check the coolant level? Any weird noise whining noise?

Could be coolant leak, could be alternator, could be something else.

Checked fluids maybe my "jet engine " description was a little extreme. No whining noise the cooling fan just seems to be on high output. It doesn't seem to want to idle down after startup. Gonna test the ect sensor this week its just a little tricky to get to. Thanks for taking time to respond. I always need all info I can get
