Default Gear selector stick to rotary ****

Can anyone help. PLEASE. I want to change the discovery 4 2010 centre console with the stick gear selector style to the rotary **** one. Does anyone know if they can just be swapped. I looked at some pictures of the plugs and they seem similar.
does this require coding or is it new modules required.
thanks

Not possible 6HP series is a mechanical linkage to the casing while the 8HP (the transmission used in 14+ with rotary gear shift) is electrically shifted.

Thank you for that. Do you know if the 8HP can be fitted with a new ECU

Probably can for $10k

In reality, No.. It's not as simple as a new ECU, they use a mechatronic unit inside of the transmission. It's getting the rest of the truck to realize it has an 8 speed.

The 8 speed was never used with the 5.0 in the L320, L322, or L319..So Land Rover themselves never did it until the updated generations and the SCV6.
