I recently got the gap tool and when the engine light came on in my 2015 LUX I was glad to have it.

I got these two errors:

P176C-11 (2C) Transmission range selector lock control error - General electrical failure - circuit short to ground

P0089-64 (AF) Fuel pressure regulator performance - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure
I've not had any issues driving, no problems shifting, nothing.

The one with algorithm makes it sound like a computer problem, especially adding plausibility.

I have an appointment Tuesday to have it looked at, would appreciate any input the much more experienced here have.

The P176C-11 code sounds like the shift lock solenoid. This will leave you stranded if it goes south. Just a warning - the dealer will likely want to swap out the whole control mechanism for about $1200. The algorithm failure on the fuel pressure regulator does not necessarily mean its a computer problem. It just means the signal it is getting from the sensor doesn’t make sense (not plausible) within the parameters of the algorithm it is trying to run. So, could just be a bad sensor.

I don’t know which of these errors would have caused the check engine light.
