Default Rear wiper issues

My wife's 2010 LR4 rear wiper stopped working. Fuse ok. Garage said it was the motor. Ordered one online and I just put it in - still not working. With the ignition on, I tested the voltage coming from the harness clip and it's good. Once I put the clip into the motor's electrical connector, voltage goes away. Is this an indication of my problem? Bad replacement motor? (Any help to make my wife happy would be appreciated!)

Does it have a good ground? Since it is in the upper door check the ground straps.

I double checked and even ran an extra ground from a hatch ground strap to the motor case screw. Tough to figure out.

I had this issue on my '16. Wiper would stop dead center at noon position. Dealer replaced wiper motor and wiper. Never happened again. Sounds to me the replacement motor is bad too if you purchased used. Swap out and try again.
