Today I replaced my brake pad wear sensors and when I moved the car I found a small rubber wedge type thing on the ground. I’m assuming it fell out from somewhere when jacking the car? I know it’s off the car because it has a Land Rover logo on it. The part # P00121715A stamped on the top doesn’t return any results when googled. Does anyone have an idea of what this is and where it needs to go back to?
Not sure it’s relevant but I just had the front lower control arm bushings replaced at the dealer a few weeks ago. Maybe they didn’t put it back in the right way??
I had the same issue with this rubber piece falling on my garage floor after some maintenance was done at the dealership. After a fair bit of searching I found its home. It belongs in the box housing the auxiliary battery. It is part of a two-piece block off plate right where the battery cables exit the box.
