Default Structural damage. But or not to buy.

Hi. Considering first purchase of LR4. 2012 Lux. 60k miles. Long story short: Seller's Auto check account showed no accidents. Carfax shows structural damage to front/front left. Out looks perfect now. We offered 15% less than his asking. Will have it inspected by respected LR mechanic. If shop says repairs done well, would YOU buy it? Why/ why not? TIA

Yes - if the price is right. As long as repairs have really been done properly, alignment is true etc then that would be ok. But it will be worth a lot less than one without accident damage. And will be harder to sell down the line. So make sure you get a material discount. 15pc under asking doesn't mean much as it depends what asking price is. If it's price without an accident I would probably look for more than a 15pc discount. If it was already below book due to the accident damage then a further 15pc might be ok
