Default Transmission heat shield

I’ve owned a 2003 LR D2 for some time and finally added a 2011 LR LR4 to the garage.

I’m servicing the transmission. I was surprised that the vehicle didn’t have a heat shield or bracket attached to the transmission. The service manual states that when servicing the transmission that one should remove the hear shield “if installed”. My local LR dealer says the bracket is available but the heat shield is discontinued. They wouldn’t supply me a part number for the shield.

Im replacing the stock one piece filter and pan with the two part item from Atlantic British. The new pan is metal while the original part is plastic.

Do I need a heat shield? Anyone have a part number for the heat shield?
