This started with chk engine and NO ECO lights on dash. A generic OBDII scanner showed P2178 & P2180 - banks 1&2 running rich. So I replaced the ECO battery, air filters, cleaned both MAFs and added some high grade premium octane as well as fuel system additive. Cleared faults and no chk eng ights. Two days later chk engine light & same codes back on. Got the Land Rover software for my more expensive scanner and ran another scan. Told it to clear codes, then service menu and did the replaced 2nd battery update as i wasnt getting the green ECO dash light. After completion, still no green ECO light on dash. Another chk and found I still had codes which won't wont sllow ECO which if I understand correctly won't allow the ECO battery reset to take effect. Codes pending (except 2 which have to do with no HD system installed) now all relate to generator/battery/CAN BUS electrical --
U0001-88 HIGH SPEED CAN BUS Intermittent
P065C-01 Generator mechanical performance primary drive belt incorrect tension
U0140-08 Lost communication with BCM - Intermittent
Perhaps a dirty BCM/ECM connectivity issue - wherever those are. If I pictured the generator correctly (in pic below) then the belt seems fairly tight. Also some small wires in the battery box I'm not sure about (other pics) one of which seems to need to be clipped somewhere.
Can't see a date on the battery, so dont know how old it is. Batt V at rest is 12.8. Running chg is 14.08
Initial codes P2178 & P2180 indicate a rich running condition, but it runs fine once they are cleared until they set again except for ocassional initial startup rough idle. Perhaps alternator may be going out, but some of you may have some other experience with similar issu(s).
Appreciate any/all feedback before I head to a dealership.
