I actually had mine e dangerous to drive till I swapped springs after I added winch weight, was running original shocks, springs, bad tie rod end, beat panhard bushings, the weight over exaggerated the worn parts

Are you planning as lift? If so I think there was a set of ome 4 sale on disco web or landroversonly.com for d2

No plans on lifting.
Right now it drives ( handles ) differently with all that weight up front. Don't have any issues with wobbles ( lots of pot holes now ). I'm thinking of going with heavy springs up front stock rear and changing to heavy shocks all around.

Will relocated the jack for the controller so it is on top of the box ( and seal the box ).

You might as well lift it!! Seriously if you're going to go through all that just put some stiffer 2" lift springs and shocks on. These trucks look so much better with a moderate lift anyways.

Talk to Justin at Lucky8, he's up in your neck of the woods anyways. He'll get you set up with a suspension that fits your needs.

Winch is straight forward bolt down hook power and ground

If you have headlight sprayers need to block off the hose

Longer term review on the HF Winch?

I'm thinking the HF winch or the Smitty built XRC 12, just wondering how the HF is doing, if its going good why spend the extra $$$. I'm not doing any competitions, so no need for speed

1st one has made 60+ pulls, since I got it. I have 3 more. (one on a work truck, one on a gooseneck, one on the back of my disco) I have only had one issue. solenoid ground wire got loose, loctite fixed it. have not had problem, otherwise......and the last one I got had that wire patched into the main ground, so they fixed my 1 minor issue.
