alright guys I just got my new shocks in for my DII (2" lift) and I was wondering if there's a difference or if it matters that the top part of the shock (the outermost tube) is plastic? In most videos and pictures I've seen this part is always metal and I was just asking to see if it's just something new Terrafirma is doing with shocks or if it's always been like that for the DII's..

 

All it's there for is a dust shield for the shock shaft. It doesn't matter if it's metal or steal. The ones I put on the Defender a couple years back are plastic as well, they have given me no issues.

yeah thy are from what I've heard! and the kit looks great I really can't wait to put it on
