Default Airpod irretrievably gone to the depths of Discovery subfloor!

My airpod was sitting on the console and fell down between the passenger side front seat and the console. When it was nowhere to be found below the seat I got the airpod pinging out a sound and realized it had fallen down the hole in the floor where the seat is bolted to the frame of the car. Even with the seat right back it is a tricky awkward spot and the airpod was impossible to see or feel but I could hear it so I persevered. I took the seat out thinking all I need is better access. But, even with complete access to the hole in the floor the airpod was nowhere to be seen. We tried lights and mirrors at many angles and even a suction tube hooked up to our vaccum probing around hoping for luck. But no luck. I thought about going down to the medical clinic to borrow one of those nifty colonoscopy tube cameras but thought, even if I can see it there's probably no way I can get it. So, I've given up until the next time I go to my mechanic and will discuss with them to see if they have any bright ideas.

Thought in the meantime I'd post here thinking these stupid holes in the floor are so exposed, others must have lost stuff down there. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any comments, suggestions you might have!

We just finished parting out a D5, I don’t remember seeing those holes! Good luck.

Hmmm. Maybe that's where our cat went.

I had my key go down in that hole, there are many wires from the amplifire I think and it was very difficult to locate them even with the seat removed. My key was at the left most (when looking towards the windshield from inside) front corner of the seat base.
