Anyone get an update on their 23' builds?

We're slotted, our build date was supposed to be 2/18 I haven't heard a peep. Dropping the dealer a line now.

 

Ordered my 23 Metro on 2/19, build date of 4/29, delivery date 7/1. Eiger Gray with ebony interior.

 

Been a few weeks since I took delivery, but just want to share that I did pick up my 22' D5 HSE earlier this month. It arrived with all the options I ordered on the build sheet inclusive of the interactive driver's display.

The MSRP did go up when it arrived vs. of when I ordered. It read like a production cost adjustment. It wasn't by a whole lot (like $1800 USD) and JLR (not the dealership) did give back a rebate of ($1200 USD post-tax). So not dollar for dollar, but better than nothing to compensate.

 

Also sharing some timelines. I think I got real lucky given what I've read through the months here. I ordered into a pre-allocated slot so it was confirmed stock already when I started the build.

Pre-allocated as in you took one of the dealers slots that was to be used as a floor model or dealer inventory?

 

Finally got an e-mail back from my dealer with a pretty indirect answer on our build status.

Previously build date was 2/25, asked him whats up. Didn't say if build was started, but the 6 cylinder is in shortage, company wide call on 3/9 with status updates.

So yea, would assume it wasn't built lol

 

We will see. It seems like never ending story. I've placed my original order in 08/21. I've been said it'd be built in May. Sent an email 20min ago, asking about the situation with slots that should be available because of the Russian war on Ukraine. Hopefully, we get those slots earlier, but I'm a bit worried as they'd rather build new RR which can be built with the very same engine (P360 and P400 are the same), that can be sold for 170k instead of Disco for 85k.

 

There could be even more delays when my country gets invaded as it's right next to Ukraine. No new D5s or Defenders for some time for sure

At this point, I'd like to have the car ready for emergency evacuation if such thing happens. It's frustrating when the factory is right next to me.

 

Went to a dealer today and they said the new RR sport is being unveiled next month, not sure he meant March or April won't help Disco orders though.

We came close to buying a used Disco today, was sold by the time we got to the dealer. Sales guy was a cool dude, found one in the color I want a few states away.

22 model year, but doesn't have the original build sheet and thinks adaptive cruise control and 360 camera might not be on it. Man I really want adaptive cruise control. Car was sold first in August of 2021.

 

I'm pretty sure the 360 camera was standard in the facelift version. Adaptive cruise control not. My salesman replied my car should be produced on 25th March 2022 and delivered in 10 - 14 days. I hope it's true and there's no shortage of engines as you mentioned. To be honest, the disco is the best deal out of all land rovers. It's either disco or full RR for me. I like the velar as well, but it's kinda small
