No side effects at all.

I pulled it on my 2017 td6 as it's a terrible idea to stop/start diesels.

I wonder how much that piece of foam costs.
Land Rover foam is at least 100x more than regular foam, right?!?!!?

totally hoping someone knows where this module has been relocated on the '22 model - since the auto on/off is maddening
thanks in advance to anyone who can help point it out, or at least point me in the right direction.

Recently I've disabled the auto hold function in pivi and found that the truck (MY22) will stop/start much less often. It has been very cold here lately so possibly it's just disabled by the temperature but well worth a try.

Also to note that most times after stopping at a light, I can make the truck hold by deep pressing the brake pedal. Although I like the hold function, disabling it has eliminated the frustration I get when maneuvering in tight spots at very slow speeds.

. In my '22, the only way I can defeat it IS by going to that screen in the PIVI and pressing "OFF". But the next start up, it defaults to "ON". That's my problem. Unlike my car, which remembers the last setting you have the feature set to, my LR wants to Auto ON/OFF engaged.

So, how is the start/stop button to work after you unplug the connector next to the battery. I have a 2018 and the connector is where it was mentioned in the threat. After I unplugged it, I can still toggle the start/stop button and the display shows enabled or disabled.

I don't recall if the start/stop button still functions after removing that connector.
I've had my connector removed for over a year with no other effects.

bumping - just to see if anyone was able to locate the new location of this module in the '22? My dealer was totally unwilling to assist (for understandable reasons)
