Question Disco 5 Oil Change - Motul Oil

Is Motul a good choice for a Disco 5 oil change (43k miles)?

I found
this deal on Amazon this deal on Amazon
. It meets the STJLR.51.5122 standard and reasonably priced, however never heard of this brand.

Any advice? Thanks!

Motul is a great oil.

Not sure what engine you have though.

Hi @gmfain

I have a gasoline engine. (V6 2020 Disco 5 landmark)

I notice this kit has a different Oil Filter than what I have, however, will the oil still be OK for my car?

Thanks!

Thank you @gmfain

Do you happen to know which oil filter wrench is the best fit (90mm vs 90.2mm), I have two options below that are slightly different in size...

1- 90mm, 15 flutes
Amazon Amazon

2- 90.2 mm, 15 flutes
Amazon Amazon

90mm is for cartridge style, I'm thinking that's what you have.

90.2 is for spin on type.

Motul is good oil. The newest oil spec is 03.5006 for the V6 S/C.

Castrol Edge 0w-20 EP is an excellent oil and recommended for 03.5006. You can also find this at walmart in a 5qt jug.

Valvoline Euro 0w-20 is also an excellent oil (I currently use this). Mahle (OE supplier) OX774D is your filter. This is the filter wrench I use:
Amazon Amazon

Whichever you use, I would cut the oil change intervals in half to 8k miles if you plan on keeping the car.
