Hello friends,

I am new to this form, but I have read most of the 70 pages threads here about how to fix the common issues. I do appreciate that.
My Disco 5 is 2017 year model, it was rear ended by another SUV three months ago, and was repaired by a local body shop in Toronto. Last month I installed a new Interstate MTX-H8 battery, and since that day on the tailgate won't work once a while, especially since last week, the inner gate won't close at all, but will open when I did the gesture open. I can hear three beeps when pressing the close button on tailgate, or the button on remote key, or the button under dashboard. I talked with dealer and they said might be the low voltage of battery, but it is same thing after charging the battery overnight and the tester shows over 12.6V. But yesterday I found a loosened wire by the fuse box inside load space. Picture for your reference. Thank you so much!

 

I am guessing the actuator stopped working because I don't hear any winding sound anymore. But what is this connector with wires in blue and light green used for? Thanks

 

Just curious if you ever determined what that wire was for? I know it’s an old thread but I’m curious as I was just cleaning and whole getting into everything I found the same unhooked wires.
