Follow up on the windshield tape solution. I applied it a couple months ago, been through a couple rains and a car wash and no leaking!

I have 2020 that had a leak. Glass guy said he had a bunch of Land Rovers in after heavy rains. None had been off road. In any case, he removed and resealed the windshield. No more leaks. I don't know what else can be done.

I took my car in for a car wash in the morning and dropped it off at the dealer in the afternoon for repair work. No indication of leaking from the car Wash that morning, and when they give it back to me they said there is a leak down the front windshield... Lovely.
Is there any chance a clogged sunroof drain leaks down the front windshield? Looking at options to have the glass lifted and resealed.

Not likely the sunroof. Leaking windshields are a known problem on the Disco V. It's a problem with the windshield sealing process at the factory. Sometimes the leak isn't obvious because the water can travel along the edges of the window down into the electronics. It also isn't necessarily a lot of water, but it can still cause a lot of damage. But carpeting, etc. still may not appear wet. Did you ask the dealer where specifically the water is coming in?

It comes straight down the driver's side windshield with a little garden hose spray. I figured sunroof drain was too good to be true, although I did get some dirt up there the previous weekend. I used black electrical tape this morning on the windshield and just tried pouring a water mug into the sunroof. No visible drainage into the cabin.

The leak is due to inadequate/inferior adhesives during factory install. While using the vehicle off-road could certainly cause the leak, it isn't necessary to go off road for the leak to occur. It just increases the chances.

Can't stress the A-Pillars enough as we had to have those done twice when our windshield was replaced.
I know that's true for cracked/broken windshields, which would be considered an accident. But I'm not sure a factory defect would be covered. Mine was covered by the dealer, since the leak was discovered before delivery.

Can the IID tool be used to recalibrate the windshield after it's replaced?

One glass shop Said a lift and reseal does not require a recalibration because the cameras already tuned to the glass. Does that sound accurate? I was assuming if it came off it would have to recalibrate. The recalibration is a sizable cost...

Mine did not require calibration. Since the camera/sensors remain fixed to the windshield and a properly seated windshield should only fit one way, with precise tolerances, I don't think recalibration would be required.

I have had no issues/discernable changes with the camera/sensors since my windshield was removed and reset.
