Default 1-Minute Gasket

Painter's tape, a bottle/tube of 1-Minute Gasket, and 20 minutes of your time. That's all you need. Been over a year since I did it on my 2017 Disco 5 and not a single drop yet.

I had this and the dealer said to change new windshield. I went to a shop and just changed the seal and for 3 years there’re no leaks.

the issue is in the upper side seal, check the video.

What is unacceptable is the windshield is almost certainly placed at the factory by a robotic arm that dispenses the glue. Seems like an easy fix. So why does the problem persist?

exactly, and i don’t understand why they were saying the windshield needs to be changed, a waste of time to the client and money for them.

mine was repaired by an independent shop by the dealer. The indy shop told me they would first try to remove, repair and replace but sometimes they need to put in a new windshield. In my case, the repair worked. I suspect the dealer just doesn't want to waste time on trying to reseal it and see if that works. So they just go to replace. After all, you have an LR. You can just throw money away, right?

A sealed windshield is a structural element of a vehicle. A patch with sealant tape would not provide the same level of structural strength.

We've had quite a bit of rain recently and I can see my 2023 has a leak. Small dribble coming from about 12" from the drivers A pillar, right in driver's line of sight. We almost always park under cover, but had to park outside this week in the rain. The D5 was purchased from LR dealer last fall with 17k km's and CPO warranty.

Do you think I'll have any luck getting Land Rover to pay for the fix?

You should still be under the original warranty. The CPO shouldn't even kick in until after the original warranty is over. I don't think you'll have any issue at all getting them to fix it.
