Engine Shakes and Check Engine Light On
The dealer I am at said they sold their loaner inventory to the Enterprise location nearby instead of dealing with Covid cleaning requirements themselves. That’s where they sent me for the loaner.
I’m still in the honeymoon phase with mine so I’ll continue honoring our nuptials for now.

Wow. I need a new dealer. They said they shut down enterprise at their location, and we were working with a few in house loaners and you had to get "on a list" to get a loaner. Good thing I have another truck, oh wait its a 93 Range Rover classic and it has no seats in it right now. Sounds about right.
Finally got my Disco Si6 back on Friday. 3 weeks and 1 day after it went in. It's been running awesome for the last two days, much smoother compared to before the issue happened. So I am guessing the fault existed from the beginning or it slowly deteriorated. I say that since the auto on/off feature is much less noticeable now when it's triggered, the engine also doesn't have a diesel like shake to it like it used to. A tip of the hat to the tech.
The following fault codes were found: P0019-79, P00196-79, P0316-00, P01315-00, P0306-00, P0305-00, P0304-00, P0300-00, P0024-71, P000D-00, P054C-00, U447-00, U0080-88.
The issues were: Cylinder 4, 5 and 6 misfires. Cam fault on cylinder 2. They also mentioned finding coolant on the oil cap and and valve cover.
The fix: Swapped VVT and coils.
Overall, I am happy with the fix except the amount of time it took to resolve the issue. The service rep kept mentioning waiting to hear back from the "east coat" or "UK" but a part of me thinks they were just swamped. They also covered my rental while my car was in the shop, so I can't complain too much about the time it took except that I prefer to drive my Disco vs the RR I was given. They also fixed the battery ground stud that's been causing ground faults with Discos, which makes me wonder whether that issue contributed to my misfire problems.
I started to sweat about the fate of my Disco when my wife started talking about the Lexus GX460 (what my cousin drives) or Volvo Plug-in Hybrid(!). We both like the Defender but dealers here are still charging a market adjustment. So yeah, happy to get it back so I can continue with my additions, up next is a set of the Toyo Open Country AT IIIs some of the forum members have recommended.
