Default Keyless Entry and Lift Master Mini Remote

I have an intermittent problem with my keyless lock/unlock not responding when I push the button or grab the door handle. My key fob and a Lift Master Mini Garage Door Remote are on the same keychain.

(Yes, I have the HomeLink activated and it works. Yes, I still need the garage door remote as the only access to the garage is through the vehicle entry door of the garage.)

Is it possible the garage door opener is interfering with the fob signal, even when the garage door remote isn't transmitting?

I changed the battery in the key fob about a month ago and that didn't help.

I believe the D5 key fob operates at 315MHz. That's one of the frequencies used by the Chamberlain remote. I'm not sure if the GDO fob you have pings the door lift passively or if it only transmits when you push the button.

The easiest way to find out is to remove the GDO remote from your keychain for a while.

Thanks for the info.
