Anyone have any better information than ‘PCM update’ or may as timeframe? I’ve asked my service writer and he says there is nothing about a PCM update. Any of you folks in CA, or maybe this update hasn’t passed through the CA smog laws?

I just had my '19 serviced and asked them to update the PCM. The paperwork that came back said they updated the transmission control module. Not sure if those are the same or not. I don't notice a major improvement in the lag.

Got mine back last night, took it in for an early service and they did a bunch of software updates. The work order only stated sw update for acceleration lag, no specifics and the writer couldn’t tell me more and tech was not there when I picked up. Definitely feels better and I have not noticed the lag after trying to reproduce it the last day or so. Will see what my wife thinks when she drives it.

The shifts and overall response also feels smoother, but that may be because the loaner was a Disco Sport I drove the last 2 days. Definitely love having our Disco back after driving the Sport.

BTW I’m in CA so I don’t think that matters. Probably just have them update to the latest SW for the gearbox, etc. Would be great if they had complete OTA updates like Tesla so owners can check versions and choose to update instead of dealer dependency.

Update: Wife has been driving it today and also found that the lag is gone now.

We have had the lag terribly on our 2018 HSE Si6 since new. Had the fix applied 2 wks ago. It says PCM software updated as per TSB LTB01298NAS1

Driven extensively over the past 2 weeks and it really has gone. It's like night and day
Truly excellent at last!

Appears that MY17 doesn't get it. I wouldn’t say my lag is awful, but is noticeable. Kind of a bummer. I need to send mine in for Infotainment update to fix some Bluetooth problems. I’ll see if they will flash the PCM, too.

Check your VIN, the range seems to go back a ways.

My VIN does fall within. So, I’ll give it a try.
