I have a MY17 and same as the guy above, the lag is not horrible but I will like an update to see if it changes. My VIN says 037 and the bulletin says it starts with 03261. Ill call my dealer today to see if they can do something.
Also I believe I need some kind of infotainment update. When I am plugged into Apple Car I cannot answer any phone calls, I can only make outgoing calls. Everything works fine making outgoing calls. I tried 3 different phones.

Awesome, haven't been on here in a few months but after almost getting mashed because of the lag, figured I would see if a fix was ever made. Sounds like this is the real thing!

I have an appointment Fri morning to have mine updated... excited to see the results! I've pretty much learned how to "drive" with the hesitation, so will be interesting to see how different it feels!

I’m sure you will love it. It feels smoother and more responsive to me at lower speeds. Glad they finally fixed it.

Got my appointment tomorrow morning. 19' HSE Lux only a week old. Noticed the lag since day one. Glad I saw this thread!

Dealer performed pcm update as per LTB01298NAS1 and it’s significantly better now! Will report back after more miles.

Side note: I was on an archaic version of the infotainment software, and had everything updated (19a, speech, Carpay and Android Auto), and wow is it better or what.

They had to replace the telematics unit due to my SIM card occasionally not being recognized (I’d have to manually disable and enable cell data from the connectivity config screen). And they also updated the parking sensor software, due to the sensors triggering when nothing was near the vehicle (at low speed).

Update completed and lag is gone! They updated the infotainment from 18a to 19a aswell but haven't noticed anything different.

Just got my 18 Disco 5 back and had the above update done along with 2 small recalls. Very noticeable difference for the better. The transmission is still not as intuitive as my wife's M235i but the lag on tip-in is pretty much gone and it seems to downshift better so it's in the correct gear when accelerating through a turn after braking. I'll update if anything changes, good or bad.
