What's the engine on your car? This issue was only on earlier Si6 Discoveries and fully resolved by a transmission software patch a year or more ago.

Odd...It was a software issue that you would think would be solved by the updates on a new vehicle....

That's a Discovery Sport, not the Discovery, they're totally unrelated beyond the name. (I *really* hate LR's naming conventions).

I don't know if the Discovery fix could apply to the Sport, but bear in mind the Sport is turbo'd, which means lag, whereas the lag issue on the Discovery is transmission related
where if you say slow down for a yield sign and before coming to a stop you hit the gas there is a significant delay before anything happens, not like the turbo lag I experienced on the Evoque I test drove which was just typical turbo engine vs transmission related.

Yes - agreed. Different engine. Different gear box

I suspect you are just seeing typical turbo lag. Have you tried driving it in sport mode and does that help? Will make it kick down gears sooner and turbo is better at higher revs

Hello,

I'm from Europe (Poland). I have 2.0 SD4 240HP MY2017 with the same annoying issue. Service cannot help - no software patch for this engine.

In my 2.0 SD4 240HP engine it is not typical turbo lag. Acceleration on higher gears works perfectly. Unfortunatelly sport mode does not help.

I had oportunity to drive LR Velar with the same engine and there was no gear box issue.

Same here ...I will ask Dealer next year about a possible PCM software update
