Leaking windshield - early 2019 (Slovakia build)

Rho - dealers are expensive. But you don't have to go to them for simple things like oil changes, brake pads etc. You can do it yourself if you're inclined or find any decent independent and have them do it. All are very basic standard tasks and they will charge you a fraction of the cost of the dealer. Just make sure you get the right oil spec for the Discovery

Looking to replace my LR3 (favorite daily driver vehicle ever) I just purchased an '07 Disco 5. Similar to purchasing the LR3 in '12, I was well aware of its dozen or mechanical issues that crop up (do the maintenance myself). But for the Disco 5, the known windshield leak was a concerned. I have the full maintenance history. On 2/19 at 28,700 miles it had the #08LRZZ01 recall completed for the reported windshield leak. Said it took 4 parts. Does anyone know is this means a replacement windshield or just local caulk? Also, did this solve the issue or will it rear its ugly head again? Thanks

Somewhere in the forum was the actual service bulletin published, but my understanding was in all cases if the leak was confirmed the windshield was replaced. There are a couple known instances that are also reported in the forum of the issue reappearing after replacement. I am hoping it won’t be the case for me and it is unclear how much it has happened. Good luck!
