Thanks! That is good to hear. I don't have issues with basics. Does the oil pan allow for a Fumoto valve if they even make one for it?

Would reiterate @gmfain's comment. Just purchased a 2017 HSE TD6 and have put about 8,000 miles on it since purchased mid-March. This has been the best Land Rover platform I've owned and I was coming from a 2011 LR4 and 2008 LR3. The fuel economy, tech offerings and overall comfort is much better than the '10-13 LR4 offerings. Pay attention to packages on the spec sheet if you do end up shopping for a D5. I'd recommend a pre-purchase inspection as well. I am new to the diesel line and the PPI got rid of a lot of anxieties for me knowing what I had coming into it.

Fuel filter is an easy job, especially with @gmfain's information, and regular maintenance is super simple. Only downside I've seen is aftermarket options (roof racks, etc.) in comparison to what is available for the LR4 is somewhat limited, but I'd imagine those will come with time as it is still a relatively new-ish platform. Would highly recommend the D5 over the 2011 LR4.

Instead of a Fumoto valve I'd recommend getting a Gold Plug magnetic drain plug (Part # MP-02T). They're the gold standard for magnetic drain plugs (the neodymium magnet is very strong) and will actually benefit your engine by keeping the oil free of ferrous particles that cause engine wear.

Thanks! I'll look into this now. Test drove two TD6s. One 2019 and a 2020. Price difference is obvious, very little mileage difference. Just have to decide....
