Default Need new engine, dreaded 2l cylinder issue. Is 3l better?

So my 2018 Discovery needs a new engine due to the well known cylinder issue. It's the 2 litre engine. Question is once repaired do I sell it and get a 3 litre, are those engines any better and more reliable. Worried now once repaired under warranty it will happen again in a few years.

My 3 litre diesel has been amazing there hasn't been any problems with it. On the other hand I heard the 2l's are some of the worst land rover makes rn.
