Replaced rear shocks on 2017 with air suspension and 3rd row. Couldn't find any reference online to interior parts to remove so I'm just sharing mine. All that needs to be removed is
Rh rear cargo area trim circled in red
Lh and rh 3rd row cup holders. They just pull up to remove
3rd row seat cushions. Pull up on front of cushion then pull forward
Trim under the third row seats. Just pull towards front of the car
pull carpet forward to expose shock mounts
Remove foam covers over the shock mounts
The shock removal is the same as what these poor range Rover owners detail in the video below.
What prompted the replacement? Time? Miles? Just because?
There wasn't sufficient dampening on the rebound (extension). Especially bad at highway speeds over larger undulations in the road. Suspension would unload too fast making for bouncy/unstable ride. I tow a fair amount as well. Discovery has ~105k miles
My 2017 HSE Td6 (with air suspension) doesn't have third row seating so changing the rear shocks is probably much easier than having to deal with the extra row of seats. Anyone know of any "gotchas?"

Not sure, but could be similar to the Range Rover install above, given no 3rd row. Actually is more involved without the 3rd row
