Just made it back from a 800 mile round trip to Seaside. Had a check engine light on the way down that I cleared.

Another check engine light for the same code came back on the way home half way there, about 3.5 hours into the return. P0170-00 - Fuel trim (bank 1) (AB)

There was a this and an immediate loss of acceleration. Then a third check engine light, 45min from home, resulted in the engine surging. That was the same problem I had back in October going up a mountain. I Had to move fast to clear the fault codes, and I couldn't quite confirm what the fault was. Not a good experience - driving down the highway next to trucks and the vehicle starts slowing down. I cleared it with the IID tool and engine immediately started operating normally and I made it home.

Not sure how much more I can tolerate the lack of reliability with 4 kids depending on me to get them home without a tow truck...

25:23 shows how to use a 3/8 breaker bar or long ratchet to rotate the tensioner and take pressure off the supercharger pulley. I haven’t done it on this car yet so not sure what you have to take off. Typically after that, you can rotate the coupler back and forth by hand and check for a rattle.

I managed to get the air intake off and loosen the tensioner. Felt like I was going to cut my arm to pieces on the fan because I don't have the right tools 😬

Sounds like there is the same play and the noise from the video! Maybe I can get them to cover this under the warranty...

I've asked all three repair shops if this was the problem. Seems like none of them even bothered to wiggle the supercharger. Ugh

Sounds like a bad coupler if I’ve ever heard it. Doubt it’s getting covered under any warranty but it’s cheap fix. Change the supercharger oil while you’re at it
