Updated/New style (plastic) crossover pipe success/failures
For those going through this repair...
Note: Vehicle is leaking coolant into the middle of the valley of the block/Replacement of oil cooler and associated components under supercharger must be replaced and system will need to be rechecked.Coolant Crossover pipeOil change required due to coolant draining into crank case.Performed Head gasket test gas from coolant system did not turn fluid greenish cooler. Suggesting head gasket is OK.

4 - R&R High pressure fuel pumps (Both)Note: Removed supercharger belt and no change to the noise. Used sound amplifying device with probe to check different locations for noise. Found that the Highpressure fuel pump is causing the noise. Suggest replace to prevent fuel contamination or vehicle engine crank issues.

Repair bill in Chattanooga, TN: $4.8k+tax, Quality Guard Plus covered $4.4k out of that. I paid tax+ $100 deductible + a little to upgrade to aluminum parts in the cooling system + some small components they didn't cover ($913). Great outcome for me!
The warranty cost $5k, purchased around 37k miles on a 2018 in Nov 2022. It's already paid out ~$1.5k for an alternator. Truck has 54k miles and ~50k/3 years left on the warranty. Purchased the warranty through the Nissan Dealership / Sonic Automotive when I bought the vehicle. The Rover dealer said they were a quality warranty company on the last repair.
It took a while for the insurance company to make the decision. They sent an inspector out to look at the vehicle. After the inspection they requested the repair shop take off the supercharger and send a video of the leak. So, 3 hours of Labor before confirming they would cover the claim. Dropped the vehicle off Monday afternoon, warranty company confirmed they would cover it yesterday afternoon a week later. Pricing took another half day to work out.

Sigh....went to pick it up today at 5pm, just as they were closing. Noticed some some coming out of the Hood when I was stopped 100 yards away. Brought it back and they said it's probably just some spilled coolant burning off.
15 minutes later the low coolant light comes back on. The supercharger sounded like a tin can fan was rattling around inside of it when I gave it some gas. Dropped it off at the shop, coolant leaking onto the parking lot. At least they drove me home and said it would be top priority in the morning. The saga continues. Two weeks in the shop so far 🙄

Oh, and I noticed some of my windows are not automatically one touch rolling back up or stopping at the first stop in the rear on the way down 🤦 maybe the battery being disconnected reset something?
Roll down the window all the way, then manually close the window and keep pulling the switch for a couple seconds after the window has closed. This will reset the automatic windows.
Is it safe to assume that any repair/replacement done at the dealership on a 2018 will be with the updated parts? I have an appointment to take my 2018 in on Friday for coolant level dropping, and hopefully will be covered by my 3rd party extended warranty if repairs are needed.
I think they'll replace that hose and pressure test again to be sure. He also said my belts are starting to dry rot when looking from underneath the car.. i'm at 95K miles. Need to see which ones should be replaced and curious what the official maint schedule says as i keep up with all maintenance and i know that wasn't due on previous visits.
Okay a few more questions please:
1. It appears you removed the entire supercharger in one piece and did not separate it from the left and right intake manifolds (nos. 9 and 21), nor from the charge air cooler tank top (no. 4). If this is the case then you didn't need to replace gasket number 5. If this is correct aren't some of the screws 1, 2, and 3 not going to be removed? Maybe just remove the longest ones (nos. 1 and 3)? Does the charge air cooler tank top (no. 4) have to be separated from the left and right intake manifolds (nos. 9 and 21) in order to reach screws that fasten the left and right intake manifolds through the gasket (no. 13), to the top of the engine? You said you replaced gaskets (no. 13) but the description fo 13 is a vibration pad - so is this item actually creating a seal?
2. What parts were being separated when you used a prybar instead of a puller? Removal of the pulley isn't necessary is it?
3. Once the supercharger with attached charge air cooler tank top and intake manifolds is removed, will the rear crossover pipe be ready to be removed and replaced?
Thank you for your help Donc98
The T40 bolts around the perimeter and the 4 or 6 10mm bolts in the middle get removed, and the aircooler separates from the supercharger. Then there is 6 or 8 10mm bolts holding in the SC. There are 2 electrical connections at the back(depending on model could be 1) and a vacuum line at the back. Once all that is disconnected you can remove the SC with both sides attached.
Once that's off, rear pipe can be accessed.
