Discovery 2 hard brake pedal
Hi. Just changed the fuel pressure regulator on my 01 TD5 disco. While driving after I had to stand on the brake pedal to stop. The brakes work fine at speed! I've checked the vacuum hose at idle; 18" pressure. So doesn't seem to be pump problem. No fluid leaks from master cylinder. I'm seriously stuck! Any help greatly appreciated.

The pedal seems very hard when engine
Hi, it seems to be very hard when the engine is off. The pedal does sink about 5-10mm when starting. The higher speed that I do, the better the brakes. I can't find any vacuum leaks. Could it be a faulty check valve on the vacuum hose? The servo/booster doesn't hold pressure overnight. Doing the fuel pressure regulator was awkward to say the least, it's got to be something I've knocked or moved while changing it. Thanks for the reply btw.
