Hello! I am new to the LR world. Just bought a Black 03 DII that was sitting in a lot next to the border. Already replaced the roroflex coupling and rear propoller shaft.

I have an extra differential sitting in my garage that I was going to use the pinion flange from, but I ended up putting in a new one instead.

I still get a little shake around 50 so I am going to get an alignment and work on rebuilding the U joints. The front U has a grease fitting on it but the two near the TC do not.

I replaced the tan headliner with a black one and that looks realy nice.

Other than that it drives pretty good for a truck that has 145,000 miles on it. Took it up to Azusa Canyon (for the so cal people) and I was very impressed by its abilities. Even better was seeing a Range Rover with 20" rims high centered unable to move.

Thanks for the Info, very helpful. Ordered the parts today so I will be working on my front shaft / u-joint rebuild very soon.

 

Also, I am an avid spectator of the Marching Arts and the Chino Hill High School drumline sets the bar for scholastic groups around the country. What I'm saying is, appreciate the phenomonal musical abilities in your area. Watch their rehearsals, be amazed. Youtube, even.

 

Welcome on board. there's quite a few of us so-cal people that lurk here and other places.. We often make runs up to the mountains near big bear and out to the deserts for some nice day trips. I know there's a few SCLR club events coming up as well if you want to check things out. Azusa canyon seems to be were a lot of people go just to **** around a bit at first, i went and putted around the second weekend i got my truck.

Our daughter will be going to Chino Hills High next year and she has been in the Marching Band in J.H. We got to see Ayala High Marching band perform a few competitions times this year, they were very good as well.

We were in Calico BLM (odessa canyon) camping this week end. I will get some pictures up soon.
