Default New to the group with a couple of questions

whats up... my girlfriend and i just bought a land rover range rover 4.6 HSE 2000 black. Nice truck. however there are two issues that i am questioning.

1) i think the brake lights are faulty. the third is not working, and both light below the blinker are on? i am trying to get an idea.

2) when the key is inserted and the car is started the display below the speedometer and tack says ABS fault, and traction failure. then it goes away? is this common ie car computer booting? or am i in trouble?

any feedback will help.

THanks.

1) don't know about this

2) The ABS (anti lock brakes) light stays on until you go over 5 MPH, then it goes off. this is normal per the manual.

Are you saying that 2 brake lights work and the 3rd. doesn't, if so, check the bulbs in the center brake light.
Also, I the future, if you post your question down in the area where the different model Rovers are listed and show the model and mileage it will be easier for us to answer your question.
