Welcome. Download your own copy of the shop and owner manuals, called the RAVE, at link below. Stock front drive shaft, if not rebuilt or replaced, will split and spear hole in transmission. Temp gauge is not real accurate. Above 50% is overheating almost always. Look at a device called an Ultra Gauge, lets you see real temperature and a whole lot more. Change oil at 5000 miles, no more. Read thru our tech area for lots of DIY writeups. Truck can be maintained by those with a little determination who like to save money. Or by open checkbook. You really don't want it to get overheated.

Thanks for the advice. I have already downloaded the rave manual and have be browsing the forum for tips. I'm fairly good at working on my own cars, so hopefully I will be able to do any repairs that are needed. When you talk about the front drive shaft splitting are you talking about the u-joints or the actual shaft?

Ok thanks. I will be sure to swap out the u-joints in it to the greasable one asap.
