New member just bought my first land rover. It is a 2003 land rover discover with 52000 miles. Defiantly need help finding some accessories. Looking to add lights either by roof rack or replacing front bumper, and would also like to figure out a way to mount a Jerry can and jack. This will be and ranch vehicle to take hunting as well as do some work around the place.

Welcome.

Be aware that the D2 has two things you don't want to "discover"; the oem front drive shaft has no grease fittings at one end, when dried out by CATs, it can split and flail around knocking a hole in tranny; with almost no warning. Rebuild article in our tech area, do it ahead of time. Other "fun fact" is that your heat gauge points at 50%. And so does everyone's, even if the coolant is 130F-240F. By the time it starts to rise you are way overheated. Use an OBDII attached scanner to see the real temps. An alternate choice thermostat of 180F is a good upgrade.

The whole shop manuals set is called the RAVE, download links below.

An old joke refers to the ranchers sitting around a bar, and talking about the size of their spreads, which is usually described as the number of sections (square miles) owned. One older guy said his spread was two sections. Other laughed and asked what that big spread was called. "Downtown Dallas"

While the King Ranch is the largest in Texas, 825,000 acres, it is in several chunks. Lots of people know of it from the Ford ad campaign. I believe the Waggoner Ranch at 524,000 acres is the largest surrounded by a single fence. That's a lot of fence wire to check on....
