Albany didn't get a scratch. We were 40 miles north of it. Had it hit further up well then no so pretty. We got lucky. It was erry to wake up to sunny skies the next day.

 

A lot of places that get levelled in these kind of events don't rebuild, they take the insurance settlement and move somewhere else, wait for property value to bump up a bit, and sell their new vacant lot. The small business jobs may not come back very quick.

 

NYC got hit bad, Staten Island especially. But my God, New Jersey... my heart goes out to the coastal communities in that state. There's literally nothing left in so many places.
