No, but seriously, do your homework on these engines, and what needs to be done to an engine when you add forced induction into the mix.

There's no quick answer to the question you're asking.

We are all on crack here. Don't listen to us.

Yea I bought a bunch of parts off of him. He had a pile of grenaded motors as a result. Doesn't seem like a good idea at all.

Turbo charging has never been done on the early engines by LR probably for good reasons whereas the later engines are supercharged or turbo charged. Put it this way, I wouldn't want to waste my time fitting a turbo to the 4.0 or 4.6 V8 just to watch it grenade big time.

Forced induction, would require you to bullet proof your bottom end, top hat liner the block, install lower compression forged pistons, have the block O-ringed(groove the block for stainless o-rings around each cylinder) Fel-pro makes o-ring head gaskets, but not sure if they make them for LR engines. Cam should be ground for forced induction(don't need a lot of lift or duration). You would also need a better flowing exhaust. Fuel trims, ignition timing would have to be modified. If all this were accomplished, the drive train would not be able to handle the power.
I am sure I left something out.

I'm with you on this one Joe, and why would anyone want to produce a high speed, high powered super dooper farm truck. Back in the 1980's or maybe it was the 1970's Janspeed produced a twin turbo Range Rover for reasons better known to themselves. , Ferrari, Porche, Aston, whatever but a 4x4 ............ why
