So I had very worried thing happen. I was dr ing and my car stopped accelerating. Nothing was working luckily was able to stop the car.
took it to mechanic and after 1 week he tells me it could be many issue. Engine, electrical, battery and he said we can start work with engine shaft and go fro there. Starting price is $1500.. I towed it and took it to next mechanics where he said most likely it has to be computer that’s fried. So he said we can rebuild and program instead of buying new one for $2300 … so I went with rebuild but after couple of days he said it’s not going to be able to rebuild just get new one. He’s charging $2600 for everything. Is this right price ? I searched ECU and it shows for $1000 …

anyone had any idea on the cost of ECU and labour would be ?
