Default Evoque Review

We are thinking of swapping our 2008 LR2 for a 2013 Evoque. Anyone out there have one and can tell us what you think of it?

Well, we went ahead and bought (leased) it. I'm gathering that there isn't a lot of experience out there so let me offer my thoughts. My wife absolutely loves the vehicle and for good reasons. It is more sports car like than off roader. Lots of fancy electronics and a great sound system. I was at first concerned about visibility but I am satisfied that it is adequate for most driving conditions. I was also concerned about the four cylinder and it can drag a little at lower RPMs. However, when the turbo kicks in watch out! We drove it from Albany to Cambridge, MA (yeh, when all that was happening!) and found it good in traffic. Even with the rear camera it is a little more difficult to park than the LR2, but I'm getting used to it. All in all it's a fun car to drive if you're looking for something sporty and you don't need a lot of carrying space.

Keep posting about it, there will be others to follow your trail. Thanks. Pix underhood and interior would be nice.

The LR2 now has the same motor as the Evoque so if you don't want all the bells and whistle buy a LR2. Not that they have the same drivetrain or other parts. Its alot different so don't think its a rebadged LR2.

...adequate for most driving conditions.
High praise indeed.

What I'm trying to say is that you don't sit high in the vehicle like one would in the LR2, and I'm assuming that is by design. Accordingly, you don't have the same visibility - but it's really no different than a sports sedan.
