Default Carplay no navigation sound

Had an appointment yesterday with my vehicle to attempt to rectify. I was not going to go if they had not determined how to fix, but the tech told me to keep the appointment and they would try to address.
I did the temporary fix in their presence and it worked. Showed them what happened when I shut the car off and tried to use the iOS without using the fix. It did not work. They kept the car and I am led to believe they are going to attempt to roll back my software to the pre update version. We will see!!

Still no sound with any navigation apps using Carplay. Has anyone had any success with any workarounds? This is extremely annoying and I hope that LR fixes it in the very near future.

Default No luck so far

Nope, even my fixes I had in the past don’t work anymore.

Default 2019 Disco is a no go

So…I’m here in Germany with a 2019 Disco Td6 HSE - dealer is furious because it is cutting into sales so he claims. Regardless my 2019 disco is having the same issues. I spoke to the LR rep for Germany and he claims a fix is inbound. They have a beta they tested this July (apparently) and should be out soon. Sounds like Pferdescheiße to me. I may have been too vocal about this issue and perhaps being pushed off either way this stupid issue is driving my insane. Ok, I needed to vent. Feel a little bit better now that I’m not the only person frustrated by this.

Default Temporary fix

Sooooo, ladies and gentlemen, the fix, at least temporarily is a LR software rollback. LR of Clearwater Florida just got done with my vehicle. It appears to have worked. The caveat however is that if you were affected by whatever anomalies the newest software version was designed to correct, they may return when the current software os rolled back. The list read to me all seem to center around CarPlay. LR is working on a more permanent solution.

my local dealer absolutely refuses to do a rollback and says there is “no such thing“. Any chance you have a copy of the service order so I can show them that there is such a thing? ugh

The dealership here in Stuttgart has been told to not do a rollback due to safety feature that was updated in the software update. What the hell is going on? I showed them the paperwork you provided. They snarled and said, “Land Rover USA has different rules!” Oh it’s getting thick over here. Found a dealer in Strasbourg FR that said they would do it but don’t let LR Europe know. I’m sorry LR, you broke it, time to fix it. This has been all summer long. I want my Sygic and Waze back to full operational capabilities.

LR tech did not mention anything regarding safety feature. I suspect if the rollback disabled any such feature, I would have been advised. The TA was opened and they collaborated with techs from the UK. It is a time consuming process, due in part to the time difference. It took a week to do.

Great news. I’m only an hour ahead of the UK. I will reach out to them directly since my English isn’t pure garbage. Not great. But good enough. Hopefully they can influence the roll back. It’s absolute craziness that my dealer won’t do it without UK authority and they’re claiming they told them not to do it. I can’t imagine my L462 is any different from a US spec minus the front headlight and rear tail lamps. Thank you for the support I am very thankful.
