As suspected, after a call to the dealer, the update was available and installed OTA in 15 minutes. The voice guidance is finally solved and the slope information is correct!

wow. If this is OTA, why did you have to call the dealer? What do I tell them?

I asked the same thing. There is a SOTA checkbox that keeps turning off.
So, just tell them: "Please enable the software update for my VIN."

I called and talked to foreman and they keep telling me there is no such thing 🤯 any chance you have a dealer contact I can call and have your guy add my VIN? Mine is not only impossible but he’s a bit of a conceded *ss

The software update works and fixes the navigation voiceover problem. I have confirmed this.

First, you need to call the service department of a Rover dealer and ask them to add the your VIN number to their system to permit the download. Any dealer should be able to do this. Once this is completed you should be able to do the OTA download yourself. The download didn’t work for me until I called the dealer and did this. All good now! Only six months of waiting!

right? It’s been a long six months. I’ve called two different service desks now and neither one of them have any idea what I’m talking about including my “home dealer”. They said there is no such system to add my VIN too. Omg. Do you mind sharing the dealer that you worked with so I can give them a call?

Ours is a 2018 LR so I’m sure the update is available for most. Dealer I called is LR of Bethesda. Ask for Jose, one of the service technicians. Good luck.

thank you so much. I’ll call tomorrow and hope that they are far more competent than my own dealer. Appreciate it a lot

finally, this morning I was able to update the software and the problems have disappeared. Yesterday the person in charge of the dealership called me and he told me that it was already available.
I have not gone to the garaje.Air download
