Default Exhaust Head gasket leak? 98 P38 111k miles

Yesterday, my wife rolled down her passenger side window to get the mail and she heard, "Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick," I could not hear it on the drivers side.
Today, it got worse. We went to town and after about 2 hours of driving the "Ticking" changed to a "Puffing."

Puff, Puff, Puff. By the time we got home the Puff changed to a "POP,POP,POP."
I put my hand under the manifold while the engine is running and can feel the exhaust spitting out. Passenger side.
Who here has changed a manifold gasket with out breaking a frozen bolt?

I need a little encouragement.

When I pulled the manifolds off it was not too bad. No stripped bolts or snapped. The heat shielding around the headers gives the biggest challenge. Just makes it hard to reach in to the bottom bolts

I had to cut the two lower shield bolts with a Dreme tool.

I thought I had the right socket for the exhaust manifold bolts.

What size are the bolts and what size is the bolt head and what socket fits the multi ridged bolt head?

I can't go anyfarther with out the correct socket, I looked at the Rave DVD but it does not give the bolt head information.

It’s metric 12 point, I forget the exact size, I actually ended up ordering a complete 12 point metric set from amazon. Was pretty cheap and seem like decent quality

soak all that with PB blaster or the like a couple of times over the course of a couple of days. Will help avoid snapping bolts.
