Never buy a used water pump. If yours is bad go to British Parts of Utah and buy one of their German made Air Tex water pumps with the solid brass impellor that comes with a 2 year warranty.

And a used one would be like $5 at the junk yard, but select carefully. Old pumps begin to wobble and eat aluminum. One on left is 175K. One on right is 114K in a D2 (same as D1 pump), but IMHO it had been replaced recently, which is why I felt OK about using it when I was a new owner, and overwhelmed with catch up repairs, overheating, death wobble, etc. Next one will have the brass impeller. The $46 Uro one at Rock Auto is a budget one, but IMHO you get what you pay for.

While I agree with Mike about the water pump. I do sell the occasional used water pump when I know it was recently replaced by the previous owner. I have one such pump on hand. It looks and feels as good as new. If you're interested I can sell it for $45 including shipping by USPS Priority Mail. I can't post a photo right now but can provide one later. Let me know if I can be of help.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks fellas.

I will go new, and OEM for the pump and clutch assy. I need to replace my waterpump, viscous clutch/fan, t-stat, radiator, and hoses. Just trying to keep it as far under $1,000 as possible.

Tired of driving my Altima,
-Nate
